Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Esthetician with EXPERIENCE to join our team. This is a hybrid position to work as receptionist for 2 days and other days as medical esthetician.

Medical Esthetician Job Responsibilities

Medical estheticians are skincare professionals who specialize in providing advanced treatments and services under the supervision of a licensed medical professional, such as a dermatologist or plastic surgeon. Their responsibilities often involve:

Skin Treatments and Procedures
  • Chemical peels: Applying chemical solutions to exfoliate the skin, improve texture, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Microdermabrasion: Using a device to exfoliate the skin by removing the top layer of dead cells.
  • Laser therapy: Utilizing laser technology (Alexandrite & NdYag) for hair removal, skin resurfacing, and treatment of pigmentation issues.
  • Microneedling: Inducing collagen production to improve skin texture and reduce the appearance of scars.
  • Dermaplaning: Using a blade to exfoliate the skin and remove fine hairs.
  • Facials: Performing customized facial treatments to cleanse, exfoliate, and hydrate the skin.
  • Other: Manicure-pedicure, waxing, relaxation massage
Patient Care and Consultation
  • Skin assessments: Evaluating patients' skin conditions and identifying their skincare needs.
  • Treatment planning: Recommending appropriate treatments and procedures based on patient goals and skin type.
  • Pre- and post-treatment care: Providing instructions and advice on pre- and post-treatment care.
  • Product recommendations: Suggesting skincare products to complement treatments and maintain results.
Patient Care and Consultation
  • Assisting in procedures: Assisting physicians with procedures such as laser hair removal or chemical peels.
  • Preparing patients: Preparing patients for procedures and ensuring their comfort.
  • Monitoring patients: Monitoring patients during procedures and addressing any concerns.
Administrative Tasks
  • Scheduling appointments: Scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
  • Inventory management: Managing inventory of skincare products and equipment.
  • Client education: Educating clients about skincare and treatment options.

Spa Receptionist

Overview

A spa receptionist is the first point of contact for clients, setting the tone for their overall experience. Their responsibilities typically include:

Customer Service
  • Greeting and welcoming clients: Providing a warm and friendly greeting upon arrival.
  • Answering phone calls and emails: Handling inquiries, scheduling appointments, and providing information about spa services.
  • Managing appointments: Scheduling and rescheduling appointments, ensuring the spa's calendar is efficiently managed.
  • Providing information: Answering questions about spa treatments, products, and pricing.
  • Handling customer complaints: Addressing concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Administrative Tasks
  • Data entry: Recording client information, appointment details, and financial transactions.
  • Inventory management: Monitoring and restocking supplies.
  • Cash handling: Processing payments, handling cash, and credit card transactions.
  • Maintaining cleanliness: Ensuring the reception area and spa facilities are clean and organized.
Sales and Marketing
  • Promoting spa services and products: Suggesting additional treatments or products to enhance the client's experience.
  • Handling retail sales: Assisting clients with purchases and processing transactions.
Other Duties
  • Coordinating with other staff: Communicating with therapists, managers, and other staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assisting with special events: Supporting the organization of spa events or promotions.

In essence, a spa receptionist plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming and positive environment for clients, contributing to the overall success of the spa.
